Mounting Systems
An often overlooked component, our quality engineered, MCS accredited mounting systems are rigorously tested to ensure a solid foundation for the solar modules. With mounting brackets available for any roof type we are always able to find a suitable mounting solution. Our mounting rails and retaining clamps are available in various sizes to ensure the panels stay securely fixed no matter what.
Electrical Equipment
To complete the system, we use cables, electrical accessories and consumables manufactured to the latest industry and electrical standards. Every one of our solar PV systems is designed and installed with the highest levels of safety in mind, with lockable points of isolation and wiring containment to help prevent mechanical damage, we ensure our electrical installations are functional and safe.
Our Service to You
Step One - Initial Enquiry
Our projects usually start with an email or phone call requesting a quotation. One of our team will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss your requirements and arrange for a survey to be carried out. We require some information at this point to create a quote folder, such as name address and contact details. We will never share customer information and any details we take are treated in complete confidence at all times.
Step Two - Property Survey
As we mentioned before, all roofs are different. We arrange to visit you at a convenient time to carry out a survey of your property in order to provide a comprehensive quotation. Our aim is that you are completely satisfied with our products and services. That’s why we need to ensure that we have all the relevant information to allow us to design the most effective system to suit your needs. We will measure the roof area, suggest a suitable location for the main system components and answer any other questions that you might have.
Step Three - Quotation
Once we have gathered all of the information we need, we can begin working on your quote. Besides the actual price of the work, our quotations will include information to help you get an idea of the expected return on your investment, what the proposed system is likely to generate, a structural calculation of the additional loading to the roof from the array and a visual design.
Step Four - Placing an Order
After confirming that you wish to proceed with the installation, we will provide a proposal pack. This document outlines the work in more detail and contains our standard terms and conditions. Once you have approved and signed the documents we may request a deposit to secure the materials and will allow a cooling off period of 14 days in case you decide to change your mind. Following the cooling off period, we will arrange a suitable date for the installation work to take place.
Step Five - Installation
A few days before the installation, if required, our scaffolding is erected. We will deliver the required materials and equipment to site usually at the start of the installation. Everything is double checked and we begin work. Once the panels are installed, our electricians will make the final connections, test and commission the complete system. We will explain how to use the system and any associated software apps. We aim to cause as little disruption to you as possible so the work area is left clean and tidy and the scaffold is removed usually within a few days. We pride ourselves on our efficient procedures and solutions, but we continually strive for improvement in order to deliver results more effectively.
Step Six - Handover
Following completion of our installation work, we will put together a handover pack. This will contain all of the information required to use the system, electrical inspection and test certificates, details of our insurance backed guarantee (IBG) and the all important MCS certificate which your utility provider will require should you decide to take advantage of the SEG payment scheme.
